Rooted in Service, Growing with Purpose
Harris & Company traces its roots back to 1985, when Jack Harris and fellow Georgia State Patrol trooper Johnny Wall launched an irrigation side business under the name J and J Enterprises. What began as weekend and off-duty work quickly grew into something far bigger than either of them anticipated.
When the partnership eventually dissolved, Jack continued on his own, building the company that would become Harris & Company. By around 2000, the volume of work had grown well beyond what a part-time operation could handle, and Jack made the leap to running the business full-time.
Bryan Harris, Jack's son, joined the family trade after working in fire department and ambulance services. He brought the same dedication to helping others that defined his emergency services career, and today he manages the day-to-day operations of the company. Together, Jack and Bryan have built Harris & Company into one of Middle Georgia's most trusted names in landscaping and irrigation.
Over the decades, their project scope has expanded dramatically, from $60 repairs to $200,000 installations. Yet the approach remains the same: deliver quality work, pay attention to the details, and earn each customer's trust through results rather than promises.

Jack Harris

Before entering the landscaping industry, Jack Harris served as a Georgia State Patrol trooper. That background instilled a deep sense of discipline, reliability, and commitment to doing things right the first time. He co-founded the company in 1985 and has been the driving force behind its growth for nearly four decades.
A Certified Master Plumber and licensed plumbing contractor, Jack brings specialized irrigation expertise that sets Harris & Company apart. His technical knowledge ensures every system is designed and installed to perform efficiently for years to come.
Bryan Harris
Operations Manager
Bryan Harris came to the family business after years in emergency services, working with the local fire department and on ambulance crews. That experience sharpened his ability to stay calm under pressure, coordinate teams effectively, and focus on what matters most: taking care of people.
Today Bryan manages the day-to-day operations at Harris & Company and has become an expert irrigator in his own right. His hands-on leadership ensures every crew delivers the same standard of care, whether it is a quick repair or a large-scale installation.
